The
San Jose Police Department offers free infant/child safety seat inspections
and installations. The process takes approximately 1 hour.
For
best results, please bring your child, car seat, car seat manual, and
vehicle manual. Inspections are offered at the Community Policing Centers
at the Oakridge Mall on Blossom Hill Rd, the Tropicana Shopping Center
on King Rd at Story Rd, and in Alviso, as well as the Crime Prevention
Office located at 1671 The Alameda at Naglee Ave.
This
service is available by appointment only,
and is NOT offered at fire stations!
